We are looking for a Unity Developer

REQUIREMENTS:

  • C#: Strong, production-level C#. Not “I did a Unity tutorial.” Understands OOP, SOLID, async/await, and can debug without Stack Overflow holding their hand.
  • Networking: Hands-on experience with Mirror Networking. Understands authority, client prediction, state sync, and lobby/matchmaking flows.
  • Networking: WebSocket experience — real implementation, not just “I know what it is.” Should be able to discuss handshake, reconnection, and message serialization.
  • WebGL: Has built and shipped at least one Unity project targeting WebGL. Understands platform constraints: memory budget, JS interop, threading limitations, browser quirks.
  • REST API: REST API integration including authentication flows (OAuth/JWT/cookies), request/response handling, and error management.
  • JS Interop: Experience calling JS from Unity (jslib plugins) and handling callbacks. Knows how to bridge Unity—browser communication for WebGL builds.
  • Shipped Title: At least one commercially released or client-delivered project where the candidate had meaningful engineering ownership. Not a game jam. Not a prototype.
  • English: Conversational English. Must be able to participate in standups, write clear commit messages, and communicate with international clients.
  • Timezone: Available within ±2 hours of Kyiv time (EET/EEST, UTC+2/+3). Remote is fine; time overlap is not.

WILL BE A PLUS:

  • Backend: PlayFab or Unity Gaming Services (UGS) experience — leaderboards, economy, matchmaking, player data.
  • CI/CD: Experience with Unity build pipelines: Unity Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.
  • Performance: Profiling and optimization experience — Unity Profiler, memory management, draw call batching, asset bundles / Addressables.
  • UI: UI Toolkit or mature UGUI experience for production-quality game UIs.
  • Mobile: iOS/Android build experience alongside WebGL (multi-platform shipping).
  • Shaders: Basic shader knowledge (ShaderLab/HLSL or Shader Graph) — enough to debug visual issues, not necessarily author VFX.
  • Version Ctrl: Git beyond “pull, commit, push” — branching strategies, merge conflict resolution, Git LFS for large assets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • We are looking for a Mid-level Unity Developer with strong networking and web platform expertise.
  • The candidate will work on client projects involving real-time\semi-real-time multiplayer, WebGL builds, and backend integrations.
  • This is a hands-on production role — we need someone who ships, not someone who prototypes indefinitely.

OFFER:

  • Remote work;
  • Open management without bureaucracy;
  • Salary reviews according to the results of performance appraisal;
  • 10 days paid sick leave and 18 working-days’ vacation;
  • Days off on National/Bank Holidays according to the legislation of Ukraine;
  • Conferences, knowledge sharing activities, certification;
  • Availability of sabbatical;
  • Possibility to grow inside the friendly and professional team.
