We are looking for a Lead 2D Spine Animator.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of professional experience in the animation or game development industry;
- Proven track record in a leadership or team lead role;
- Strong expertise in 2D character animation, particularly using Spine;
- Solid experience with slot animation and implementing visual effects in Spine;
- Hands-on experience with After Effects for creating and refining effects;
- Excellent understanding of timing, motion, and visual storytelling;
- Strong communication and organizational skills;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently;
- English — Intermediate level or higher (for communication with clients and internal teams).
WILL BE A PLUS:
- Experience with 3D animation or modeling tools such as Blender, Cinema 4D, or Houdini;
- Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT or Kling AI for optimizing workflows or content generation;
- Basic understanding of rigging and integrating animation into game engines (e.g., Unity).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage the animation team, ensuring smooth workflows, clear communication, and consistent delivery of high-quality results;
- Supervise and review Spine animations for characters, slots, and visual effects, ensuring adherence to creative direction and technical requirements;
- Act as the main point of contact with clients, participating in project briefings, providing updates, and incorporating feedback effectively;
- Collaborate with art directors, game designers, and developers to ensure animations align with the overall vision of each project;
- Provide constructive feedback to animators and mentor junior team members to support their growth and maintain quality standards.
