Your profile:
— 3+ years experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or equivalent field
— Experience managing, analysing, and troubleshooting highly-available and distributed software in the cloud (ideally AWS)
— Proficiency in a language such as Ruby, Python, Java, or similar
— Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.
— Experience with Docker, Orchestration, and Infrastructure-as-code tools
— Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong english writing skills and a sense of ownership and drive
Ideally you also have:
— Experience with system hardening, pen testing, and white hat hacking
— Experience with scaling up infrastructure to be able to handle millions of users globally
— Understanding of the most fundamental machine learning concepts

The role encompasses:
Today we have more than 250.000 users across multiple apps and deployments. We are now looking to harden and automate our infrastructure to prepare scaling up further.
— Define our infrastructure strategy with our CTO — taking into account technical constraints, customer constraints, and regulatory obligations
— Automate and scale up our infrastructure on AWS
— Own uptime, resilience, and security of our production environment
— Monitor and maintain our server setup and keep software up-to-date
— Work with all teams at Kaia to deploy new applications and microservices
