Part Ruby Developer for ongoing development (вакансія неактивна)

We are looking for an experienced full stack Ruby developer to help with ongoing updates to an existing workflow management system. The current system is used to track orders for manufacturing and manage the process from order to creation to overseas shipping to land delivery.

The key required technologies involved are currently as described below.
Ruby 3.1 / Rails 7
MySQL 8
Rspec/Capybara
Sidekiq/Redis
Importmaps (for plugin management)
JavaScript and JQuery

The candidate must have experience working with:
Docker
GitLab

Knowledge of the following technologies would be helpful but not required:
Capistrano
Puma
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
Bootstrap 5


We are looking to work directly with a developer, so no agencies please. Communications will be in English, so working knowledge of the language is required. If English is not your mother tongue, then having Ukrainian as your mother tongue would be a fallback as many team members speak that natively. The candidate needs to be able to available between 9am-5pm EST (Toronto/New York time) for this project.

We are hoping to find someone who can respond quickly, is reliable and willing to build a longer-term relationship for ongoing work. There is a large learning curve to being able to work in this system effectively, so we would need to make an investment in someone new and want to make sure they are available for ongoing work for years to come. Work will be slower to start but ramp up over time as you learn the system.

Teamwork and having the desire to teach less experience developers will also be a key part of this job. So a helpful team oriented attitude is important.

We are also looking for someone who has experience making estimates and can stick to their estimated time so long as requirements remain constant. We understand changing requirements means changing costs.
