Delivery Manager

Job Description

This role has ownership for the delivery of Software Development and Implementation activities and Application Support for JEMSco, JEMSfm, JEMSts products in the Factory of the Future portfolio used by Jabil’s EMS division.

You will be expected to

• Directly manage a 16-person internal (Business Analysts, Developers, SQAs) team
• Accountable for completing Software Development Projects on time and in line with Jabil’s quality standards in conjunction with Project Managers/Scrum Masters
• Work with Architects to define optimal system design
• Work with Product Owners to understand the Product roadmap and align Technology stack to support required functionalities
• Make sure Technical Debt/Non-Functional requirements are managed in conjunction with the assigned Architect
• Provide estimates for Projects and Change Requests
• Organize the 24/7 3rd level support for business-critical applications
• Ensure KPI targets are measured and met for Services provided by the team
• Serve as an escalation point for any ongoing issues in the area
• Supervise geographically distributed resources including hiring, performance evaluation, professional and personal development
• Optimize resource utilization within the team
• Lead vendor selection for delivery of Software Development projects
• Manage external vendors / contractor resources used for staff augmentation/managed services
• Ability to work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities
• Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization (leadership, business, global counterparts and offshore vendors)
• Understand and embrace the global Information Technology strategic direction
• Ensure adherence to Technical and Functional governance processes
• Work with continuous improvement mindset — identify, improve and optimize opportunities to improve delivery
• Pilot new technologies
• Drive technology modernization effort within the team


• Minimum of 8 years work-related experience required in the field of IT Applications, 4 years of experience in a management position
• Deep understanding of Agile Software Development concepts and toolset
• Experience in DevOps environment
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (Waterfall and Agile)
• Demonstrated technological leadership experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of Software Architecture/Design principles
• Experience with Azure or AWS Cloud platforms
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong team management background
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Structured, process driven, pragmatic problem solver approach
• Experience with working in a multicultural environment
• Quick learner

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Application development experience in Microsoft stack
• Project management experience
• Vendor management skills
• Experience in IoT/Machine Connectivity project/products
• Application development experience in open source stack
• ITIL Foundations Certification
