Hands on experience of MySQL administration: setting up, configuration, monitoring.
Experience of working with Terraform.
Knowledge of public cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
Good troubleshooting skills.
As a plus:
Understanding of how NoSQL databases work.
Experience with Kubernetes.
Experience with Chef.
Work closely with the developers in order to coordinate setup of new database services and support our database infrastructure scaling.
Monitor database infrastructure costs and expansion across multiple hosting facilities.
Provide technical support to the team across the organization to optimize and expand their data services.
Manage schema and data imports into development environments.
We are looking to hire a DevOps Engineer with a hands on experience of administrating MySQL servers who can help us to solve performance and scalability challenges in our highly loaded data infrastructure.
We are going not only to support and improve our existing bare metal Percona database servers but also build new ones in the cloud (GCP) and migrate there all the current data with the zero downtime. We are expecting an active participating and advice of how the data infrastructure should look like for best matching of our business requirements.
