Company Background

Our client is a company operating in the fitness and wellness industry. Its digital products help users manage their fitness activities, connect with fitness professionals, and track their progress.

Project Description

The project is focused on the ongoing development and enhancement of the client’s existing Android mobile application.

The application allows users to find gyms and coaches, book individual coaching and group training sessions, communicate with coaches, and track personal fitness goals and progress.

The application is built using a modern Android technology stack based on Kotlin, Clean Architecture, MVVM, Jetpack Compose, and Kotlin Coroutines.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain features for the client’s existing Android application;
• Implement new functionality based on product and business requirements;
• Improve and support existing application components;
• Develop UI components using Jetpack Compose;
• Work with Kotlin Coroutines for asynchronous and concurrent operations;
• Integrate and maintain APIs using OkHttp and Retrofit;
• Work with local data persistence using Room;
• Integrate Android platform functionality and Google Play Services;
• Investigate and troubleshoot application issues;
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following established engineering practices;
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to implementation decisions;
• Collaborate with other members of the development team;
• Support the overall quality, stability, and performance of the application.

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on Android development;
• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Android SDK;
• Experience developing and maintaining production Android applications;
• Good understanding of Clean Architecture and MVVM;
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines;
• Good understanding of data structures;
• Strong knowledge of OOP principles;
• Understanding and practical application of SOLID and KISS principles;
• Knowledge of common software design patterns;
• Experience working with local data persistence;
• Experience working with REST APIs;
• Experience with business-oriented applications;
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Jetpack Compose;
• Experience with Dagger Hilt;
• Experience with OkHttp / Retrofit;
• Experience with Room;
• Experience with Google Play Services.
