Role Overview:

We are looking for a Middle Sales Manager who will fully own the Upwork sales cycle from searching and qualifying opportunities to writing winning proposals, communicating with clients, and closing deals.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in lead generation and sales preferably on Upwork and LinkedIn&Email outreach will be a plus;

Strong understanding of the Upwork ecosystem, including profiles, job posts, proposals, and trends;

Great written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write tailored, persuasive proposals;

Experience using CRM systems to manage leads, track opportunities, and maintain organized sales pipelines;

Familiarity with AI tools for proposal writing and workflow optimization (Gig Radar or any other);

Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and design teams during presales and project delivery;

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously;

Goal-oriented mindset, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs;

Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment;

Upper-Intermediate level of English or higher.

Responsibilities:

Independently manage the full Upwork sales cycle Design (mainly) and QA: search for clients, pre-qualify job posts, write tailored proposals, and close deals;

Create, optimize, and maintain Upwork profiles to boost visibility, conversion, and platform performance;

Stay updated on Upwork trends, algorithm changes, and new tools to improve proposal quality and outreach efficiency;

Conduct LinkedIn and Email outreach to expand lead sources beyond Upwork;

Communicate with clients via chats and calls, validate requirements, and collect information for accurate scoping;

Prepare commercial offers and preliminary estimates together with the tech and design Presale teams;

Manage and update the CRM pipeline: nurture leads, negotiate terms, answer client questions, and drive deals to closure;

Support clients throughout the project, collaborate with internal teams, and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities to increase value.
