We are seeking a diligent and tech-savvy Camera Monitoring Operator to join our live video monitoring center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring live video feeds to detect and respond to incidents in real-time, edit video footage, and produce detailed reports. This role requires keen observation skills, proficiency in video editing software, excellent reporting abilities, and strong aptness for email communications.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills in surveillance and security will be utilized effectively. A candidate does not need direct experience in this industry; we will provide ample on-the-job training. Key Responsibilities
Live Video Monitoring:
1. Continuously monitor live video feeds from multiple locations to detect suspicious activities, security breaches, or safety hazards.
2. Ensure all cameras are functioning correctly and report any technical issues immediately.
3. Respond promptly to incidents by alerting relevant personnel and/or authorities per established protocols.
Video Editing:
1. Edit, compile, and transfer video footage for incident reports, investigations, or training purposes.
2. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in video editing tasks.
Reporting and Documentation:
1. Generate detailed incident reports that include video evidence, time stamps, and narrative descriptions.
2. Maintain accurate records of all incidents and actions taken during shifts.
3. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly summary reports as required.
Communication:
1. Provide clear and concise updates on ongoing monitoring activities and incidents.
2. Use a phone to dispatch for events and respond to inquiries via phone or email.
3. Communicate effectively via email with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
4. Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on improving monitoring processes and protocols.
We work from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM Central Time. There are 3 people on the team who work in shifts
Technical Proficiency:
1. Utilize monitoring software, video management systems, and video editing tools with high proficiency.
2. Stay updated with the latest technology and industry best practices in video monitoring and security.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or video editing preferred.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
· Good spoken and written English
Desired skills:
· Ability to sit for extended periods while monitoring video feeds.
· Good visual acuity to accurately monitor video footage.
