Senior/TechLead DevOps Engineer (вакансія неактивна)

We are looking for a motivated, pro-active DevOps Engineer, working in a challenging and fast paced environment. You will be working in small cross-functional Agile teams responsible for the end-to-end development and component support using ‘You Build It, You Run It’ principle.E-commerce platform for one of the largest building merchants.

What project we have for you

Our client is the UK’s largest supplier of building materials to the building and construction industry. Featuring a network of over 500 branches, supplying thousands of products and materials, including a tool hire service, to trade professionals and self-builders across the nation. With a wide range of quality timber, building materials, kitchens, plumbing and heating, landscaping, painting and decorating essentials and tools for the job — we do what matters for the trade.

The candidate will be a part of the Infrastructure team and will be involved in all aspects of building and improvements of the Infrastructure Platform built on top of GCP. We are using agile and iterative development processes, and the company encourages collaboration and innovation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in Cloud Engineer/DevOps role;
• Deep understanding of GCP Cloud;
• Solid experience in Networking
• Experience in security analysis and hardness of GCP Cloud environments
• Strong Kubernetes expertise
• Strong Git expertise
• Solid understanding and strong expertise with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience in CI/CD, pipeline implementation
• Experience in using scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash)
• Experience with containerization & virtualization
• Understanding of agile software development cycles
• Knowledge of software engineering practice
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Would be an advantage:

• Experience with Kafka
• Experience with Keycloak
