As a Project Manager in the Map Data Processing group you will work with a team to develop smart Map Data processing tools for the state-of-the-art Mapping Technologies. You will work self-sustained in an agile team.The team responsibility will cover developing, extending and maintaining tool and services that processes map data for global navigational database. For that you will be translating product strategies into technology strategies and helping design and build industry-grade customer-facing geo-data-intensive products. You will work closely with other engineering & operations teams, internal users of tool chains your team develops and partner with product managers and the larger map operations business units.

Responsibilities:

• Staffing and managing the team of engineers to develop a map creation service;
• Resolving task dependencies/blockers; process customer escalations;
• Tailoring and facilitating the Agile software engineering processes;
• Working with the customer to understand the need and develop the businees;
• Coaching, mentoring, motivating and supervising team members;
• Influencing them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work, providing timely feedback to individuals and resource managers;
• Leading 2 teams with a total headcount of 14 engineers.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role;
• Hands-on experience in running SDLC in one of the above roles: Dev, QA, BA (deep understanding of software creation and processing principles);
• Solid knowledge of requirements engineering techniques, project tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence);
• Experience in requirement analysis, effort estimating, project scheduling, risk and change management;
• Knowledge of scrum and agile software development methodologies;
• Ability to prioritize tasks/objectives with strong organizational, administrative and analytic skills, Self- motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented and a strong team player;
• Excellent communication skills, ability to influence people, leadership by examples, cultural awareness;
• Advanced level or writing and verbal English;
• Flexibility, emotional maturity.

Nice to have:

• Experience with maps compilation solutionsж Past experience as software developer, Quality Assurance engineer or Business Analyst.

Higher Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
