We are looking for an experienced, frontend engineer to join our engineering team and work on the GraphQL-based Backend for Frontend (BFF) and its integrations with the various microservices. The secure and smooth operation of the API and the static resources on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using managed services is also part of the team’s area of responsibility. We emphasized clean code and test automation to ensure that we can always deliver high quality solutions to our customers.

Location — Ukraine or EU countries, remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Design and development of the user interface based on React
• Design and development of the GraphQL based frontend API implementing the backend for frontend (BFF) pattern
• Integration with the Authentication and Authorization services
• Design and implementation of secure and efficient CI/CD pipelines
• Stable and secure operations of the frontend services in the AWS cloud
• Evaluation of security risks and implementation of countermeasures
• Crucial participation in the design and creation of our overall solution architecture with a focus on application security
• Ensure high-quality codebase, write, and run automation tests and monitor services
• Take end-to-end responsibility for the products owned by your team
• Collaboration with QA Engineers and Product Owners in cross-functional squads
• Keep up to date with industry trends and technology developments
• Determine and resolve: customer’s feedback, support requests, and performance issues

Requirements:

• English: business fluent
• Relevant educational background with a technical major (e.g. Engineering/ Information technologies or Computer Science)
• 5+ years of experience in professional software engineering
• Deep knowledge of frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Redux Tool Kit, MUI, Cypress
• Good understanding of GraphQL-based and REST APIs
• Good understanding of security best practices for frontend applications and APIs
• Good understanding of best practices in software engineering, such as pair programming, testing, clean code, code reviews and TDD
• Experience in the building and deployment process with tools such as Git, GitHub Actions, NPM and Yarn
• Familiarity of relevant AWS services such as CloudFront, S3, API Gateway or AppSync
• An analytical frame of mind and ability to grasp new subject matter quickly
