Infineon’s Power System IC (PSI) Software Development team is seeking a Firmware Engineer to support the development and validation of embedded firmware for advanced DC/DC power conversion ICs.
Job description
- Develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for power IC applications using C
- Assist with the implementation of real-time control and configuration firmware, and in debugging and validating firmware with mixed-signal hardware in a lab environment
- Support firmware development for peripherals such as ADCs, DACs, and communication interfaces
- Work with serial communication protocols including I2C and PMBus
- Collaborate with senior firmware, hardware, and software engineers
- Create and update firmware documentation, including feature descriptions and user guides
- Participate in code reviews and follow established firmware development best practices
Your profile
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- Up to 2 years of experience in embedded firmware development, including internships or academic projects
- Experience in
DC-DC power conversion systems, with basic understanding of mixed-signal systems (good to have) - Basic proficiency in C programming for embedded systems
- Familiarity with embedded system concepts and MCU architecture
- Basic understanding of serial communication protocols such as I2C, UART, or PMBus
- Fluency in English
