HiringWise, a recruitment agency, is seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join a globally distributed team working on an innovative product that leverages AI, blockchain, and next-generation interactive technologies. This cutting-edge company is revolutionising storytelling within the 3D Multiverse, offering the first-ever platform that empowers users to create Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) experiences using everyday devices like mobile phones and desktop browsers.
In this role, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing our interactive experiences and collaborate with a talented, cross-functional team and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and reliable back-end services using Go (Golang).
- Manage databases effectively, with a focus on Cassandra DB along with other NoSQL and SQL solutions.
- Develop, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker on Linux environments.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to build features for a project involving AI, blockchain, and real-time chat applications.
- Build APIs and microservices for seamless integration with front-end applications and external systems.
- Optimize applications for performance and scalability across distributed systems.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and problem-solving sessions.
Must have
- 4+ years of experience in back-end development, with a strong focus on Go (Golang).
- Proficient with databases such as Cassandra DB (or Scylla DB) and familiarity with NoSQL/SQL solutions.
- Solid understanding of Linux systems and working with Docker for containerization.
- Understanding of software development best practices, version control (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate in a distributed team environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python and Node.js.
- Full-stack experience with React and JavaScript.
- Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
