My name is Oleksandr, and I am the co-founder and CTO of Harmix AI. We are a Ukrainian B2B product company building innovative AI products.

After creating an AI-powered search engine for media businesses, we are now developing our next product — Proactive AI Manager — an agentic productivity tool that evolves from our search technology into a system of intelligent AI agents. Backed by investment from a Canadian fund in 2023, we are already working with clients worldwide.

We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to own the core platform: APIs, data layer and runtime on Google Cloud Platform. This is an all-around backend role in a small team, where the focus is shipping reliable services quickly. You will be supported by technical founders. Prior LLM/agent experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and orchestrate Python (FastAPI) services and internal APIs.
• Set up task queus and workflows for backend jobs (e.g. Pub/Sub + workers).
• Deploy to GCP (Virtual Machines, Cloud Run) with CI and basic observability.
• Own the data layer (PostgreSQL); schema design, migrations, performance.

Must-have skills:

• 5+ years backend (Python); SQL (Postgres).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Solid system design: load balancing, queues, retries, rate limits, pagination, auth/JWT.

Nice to have skills:

• ElasticSearch (other vector DB), IaC (Terraform), Redis/Cache.
• Experience integrating LLMs/agents framework — not required.
