You will be a dedicated part of the core tech team, working directly with product leadership.

On behalf of Zeki, GT is looking for an inspired Data Engineer to join an early-stage startup that is dedicated to identifying the best scientific talent in the world by using national security principles and open-source data.

About Zeki

Zeki puts the best global talent at the center of today`s science to accelerate innovation. Scientists use numerous ways to improve their skills, publish their work, broaden their network, and seek funding and commercial opportunities. Zeki is building an information service that collects diverse data sets and then uses behavioral analytics and AI to discover insights into the performance and potential of global science talent. We are creating a new benchmark for evaluating science talent.

You will need:

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics
• 3-4 years of experience in coding data pipelines with Python and SQL
• 1 year of experience in cloud platforms and serverless computing (Lambda, S3)
• Experience with database modeling and deploying database schema changes
• Solid experience in complex SQL query logic, analysis, and tuning
• Ability to manage and organize large sets of data
• Experience in close collaboration with data science and Machine Learning engineers
• Strong experience with REST APIs and data validation/cleansing
• Creating and documenting technical design specification
• At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English

You will do:

• Coding data pipelines in Python and SQL and integrations with external API endpoints.
• Work on challenging data integration projects on cloud platforms, AWS, Azure, or GCP
• You will have some experience in all phases of the data development process, including requirements gathering, design, coding data pipelines, database design and development, deployment, orchestration, performance tuning

2. Technical test.
3. Final interview with CTO (45 min).

How will you work?

GT builds remote engineering teams for outstanding product companies. Our future mate will work directly with Zeki. We call this the ‘Extended Team model’, and it means that each team member is integrated as deeply as possible into the client’s team. You will work with the same tools and technologies as they do and communicate directly with a client without any intermediary in between.
