Grid Dynamics is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex engineering initiatives and drive delivery excellence. We are looking for a seasoned practitioner who goes beyond basic task tracking and provides true operational governance.
In this role, you will manage scope, schedule, and budget with precision while acting as a strategic partner to our clients. You will not simply report project status — you will actively control the project trajectory, proactively mitigate risks, and ensure the commercial success of engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Delivery Governance
- Methodology Leadership: Drive the execution of complex projects using Agile (Scrum/Kanban) or hybrid frameworks, tailoring processes to fit the specific needs of the engagement.
- Predictive Risk Management: Proactively identify execution risks (technical, resource, or timeline) and implement mitigation strategies before they become blockers.
- Metrics & Reporting: Establish and monitor advanced delivery metrics (Cycle Time, Throughput, Earned Value) to provide data-driven visibility into project health.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Budget Ownership: Manage project P&L, including forecasting, burn rates, and margin analysis. Ensure delivery remains within the financial constraints of the SOW.
- Scope & Change Management: Rigorously manage project scope. Handle change requests (CRs) effectively to protect margin and prevent scope creep while maintaining client satisfaction.
- Contract Adherence: Ensure all deliverables align with contractual obligations and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Executive Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders. Communicate complex delivery updates, blockers, and solutions clearly and confidently.
- Expectation Management: Navigate conflicting priorities and manage stakeholder expectations regarding timeline, quality, and scope trade-offs.
- Conflict Resolution: Act as a steady hand during critical incidents, de-escalating issues and steering the team toward solutions.
Team Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Performance Optimization: clear hurdles for the engineering team, ensuring high throughput and a focus on quality.
- Process Improvement: continuously audit and refine delivery workflows to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
- Mentorship: Model best practices for junior team members and foster a culture of accountability and transparency.
Who We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience as a Project Manager
- Experience managing and mentoring other Delivery / Project Managers
- Strong involvement in pre-sales activities (project estimation, proposal preparation, client presentations, risk assessment, project planning)
- Experience working with contracts
- Strong understanding of project finances (budget planning and control, cost management, project profitability tracking)
