Our team is developing a high-load, transaction-processing platform handling over 605 million transactions daily, with rapid growth. The project is being built from scratch using the latest technology stack, with a focus on dynamically scalable microservices and clustered architecture. We are dedicated to TDD and Agile methodologies and are seeking a skilled Scala Developer with a passion for precision and best practices. Remote from the EU or hybrid/remote from our offices and hubs (Warsaw, Limassol, Yerevan, Prague, Chisinau).
About our product:
The platform is built on an event-sourcing approach, featuring a dynamically scalable microservices architecture with a cluster-based deployment. Designed with a strong focus on high availability and partition tolerance to ensure resilience, real-time processing, and seamless scalability for complex transaction flows.
Tech Stack:
Application Development: Scala, Akka(Clustering, Sharding, Persistence, Distributed Data), Play.
Data Streaming and Storage: Apache Kafka, Cassandra(multi-DC), Amazon S3.
Build and Continuous Integration: SBT, GitLab CI.

What You’ll Be Driving:
— Collaborating with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into clear, actionable specifications for the development team;
— Designing and manage functional and non-functional requirements, including user stories, wireframes, and acceptance criteria;
— Mapping and analyse complex data structures and APIs to ensure seamless system integrations;
— Acting as a communication bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives, priorities, and deliverables;
— Creating and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Vision and Scope, BRDs, SRS, user manuals, and maintenance guides;
— Defining and visualise workflows using BPMN or UML to support process improvements;
— Assisting in backlog management by structuring product backlog items, identifying dependencies, and ensuring clarity for the development team;
— Conducting ongoing analysis of product features and Integration performans KPIs to identify risks, opportunities, and optimisation strategies;
— Conducting market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and trends;
— Gathering and leveraging customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
What Makes You a GR8 Fit:
— 2+ years as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst;
— Experience in Payments/Fintech;
— Experience defining and driving product strategy, roadmap, and execution across cross-functional teams.
— Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, and data mapping;
— Proficiency in business process modeling (BPMN, UML, Value Stream Mapping, SIPOC);
— Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to interact with varied stakeholders and gain their trust;
— Ability to influence without authority using logical reasoning, data, and facts;
— Proven ability to collaborate with engineers, designers, and QA to ship high-quality products.
— Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies;
— Ability to decompose complex problems into manageable solutions with clear, logical steps;
— Adaptability to deal with high ambiguity and prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment;
— Advanced knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, and diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, Figma);
— Strong ownership mindset with a bias toward action and accountability for product outcomes;
— Experience conducting user research, collecting feedback, and translating insights into actionable product decisions;
— Ability to define and monitor product KPIs, measure success, and iterate accordingly;
— Understanding of monetization models, customer journeys, and product-market fit;
— Professional English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
