GlobalLogic is inviting an experienced Solution Architect to join our engineering team.

The ME Business Unit is looking for a Solution Architect to design and execute industry-relevant inventions that allow clients to realize exceptional business value from collaboration with GlobalLogic.

As a Solutions Architect, you will be at the forefront of GlobalLogic expansion, working with multiple work streams and stakeholders. This is a tremendous opportunity to prove yourself and unlock the new growth frontiers for the company.

We’re looking for a specialist who possesses an overall understanding of estimation techniques, experience, or at least an understanding of project management together with proven customer-facing skills. We expect you to be a team player who is able to integrate into a fast and growing environment requiring tough collaboration with technical teams and customers daily. The specialist will guide, motivate, and mentor team members in their everyday tasks. Value proposition and communication are a part of everyday duties so the ideal candidate should possess outstanding thinking & creativity skills. Despite this, written and verbal communication have to be on a decent level to establish and develop contacts with key stakeholders. Also, adaptation to an ambiguous and multicultural environment is an essential skill.

Requirements:

• 7+ years in software development;
• 3+ years of technical leadership position;
• Strong knowledge of one of the high-level object-oriented programming languages (C++/C#/Java/Objective C);
• Strong experience with building high load & scalability cloud platforms;
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.);
• Hands-on experience with Microservices;
• Successful track of consulting projects and presale activities;
• Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, and responsible team player;
• Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders

Nice to have:

• Experience with any OTT platform (Roku/tvOS/Fire TV/Android TV);
• Experience with Media and A/V players;
• Experience with mobile development (iOS, Android);
• Experience designing API/SDK/libraries/frameworks and producing related artifacts;
• Experience with analytics and ad integration.

Preferences:

• Video Monitoring, Video Editing, and Compositing, Video conferencing

Responsibilities:

• Design, architecture, and implementation of media solutions from scratch;
• Solution driver and contributor;
• Keep up to date with the latest development technologies and methodologies;
• Drive architectural service executions such as Discovery and Assessment;
• Technical estimation, advisory, and assistance;
• Participation in pre-sales;
• Understand business and technical requirements;
• Define architecture strategies, standards, processes, technologies, and tools;
• Drive or assist in solution implementation estimation and roadmap construction;
• Providing technical leadership and support to the software development teams;
• Provide system design recommendations based on technical requirements;
• Build future-proof, maintainable, and scalable code, which can be shared to drive further efficiencies
