GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Android Mobile Engineer to join its Kyiv office.

We are looking for a talented Android developer to become a part of the Connected Safety platform team. Connected Safety is an Internet of Things (IoT) platform designed to connect workers, places and equipment, helping organizations to drive improvements in worker safety, compliance workflow, and safety process automation. Connected Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and software products help organizations advance the digital transformation of worker safety through innovative combinations of data science and PPE technologies.

Connected Equipment app captures information from your Connected PPE. The collected data is easily transferred to the Connected Safety Platform using a Wi-Fi or cellular network. Safety leaders can use this information to gain insights into equipment performance and utilization, helping promote safety intelligence and operational productivity. The system is designed to help:
• Improve Situational Awareness: Workers have near real-time visibility of equipment status. They can receive alerts and notifications when using their Connected PPE.
• Improve Compliance: Safety leaders can use the cloud-enabled Connected Safety Platform to easily analyze aggregated data, create reports and set goals for improving their safety programs.
• Improve Productivity: Workers can stay focused on getting the job done.

Requirements:

Key requirements:

— 3+ years experience in Android mobile apps development;

— Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Software Engineering

— Good knowledge of Kotlin, Java, RxJava, RxJava 2, SDK, Android Jetpack, Dagger2, Design Patterns, native SQLite, Google services, DDMS, Gitflow, Design Patterns, MVP, MVVM, Bluetooth, RxBleClient .

— Core Bluetooth (BLE) experience

— Experience in analyzing and understanding business problems with excellent oral and written communication skills

— Solid understanding of design patterns, OOD.

— Experience working with Scrum methodology

— Good soft skills with a positive attitude and initiative.

— Good level of English (ability to communicate and participate in a conversation with English-speaking teams)

Will be a plus:

— Degree in the related field

— NFC experience

— IoT

Responsibilities:

— Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to bring product ideas to life
— Debug and resolve issues related to the application and interaction with external and internal APIs
— Perform code reviews and design reviews with the team
— Be an end-to-end owner of software services spanning technology boundaries
— Translate business requirements into technical designs and project plans
