Together with a team of DevOps Engineers you will be responsible for setting up and managing the Kubernetes platform for our international team in the Netherlands and Ukraine.
What will you do as a DevOps Engineer at Budget Home?
As a DevOps Engineer you will play an important role within the new DevOps team. Together with the four fellow DevOps engineers you are responsible for developing and extending container and cloud native solutions and services, including Kubernetes. You will automate the build and deploy process as much as possible via the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principle.
The team is international, small and motivated and has a strong focus on collaboration. In addition, the team is motivated to approach emerging technologies from different perspectives and build appropriate solutions for the business. The atmosphere in the department is informal and we feel it is important to know from each other what we are working on. We start each day with a stand-up to discuss what everyone is working on and whether anyone needs help.
Your responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage Kubernetes clusters,
- Automating deployment and scaling processes,
- Implementing security and compliance measures,
- Support developers in building containerized applications,
- Working with the team to develop new solutions,
- Troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents quickly,
- Sharp look at costs versus benefits when implementing solutions and Cloud configuration.
What do we expect from you?
In addition to the drive to make yourself and the organization better, we believe you can perform the DevOps Engineer position best if you have:
- More than 5 years of experience as a system administrator, developer or similar position,
- Have more than 3 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration,
- Have hands-on experience with Infra as Code automation, e.g. Terraform or Ansible,
- Have worked in an Azure Cloud environment,
- Have experience with CI/CD Tooling,
- Be proficient with GitHub and GitHub actions,
- Familiar with tools such as ElasticSearch and RabbitMQ,
- Communication in Dutch or English.
