GT was founded in 2017 by a former executive from Apple, Nest and Google. GT’s mission is to build teams and products that address some of the more challenging requirements from fast-growth clients in Europe and North America.

On behalf of our partner, Balloon One, we are looking for a Product Manager to join the team that’s creating an easy and user-friendly cloud-based transport management system (last-mile delivery app) for their internal clients.

What is Balloon One?

Balloon One is a UK platform for growth for the distribution business, with integrated technology solutions across the entire supply chain, delivering a fully integrated and optimised distribution operation for the business. They have partners all around the world: Thailand, India, Australia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, and Canada. Also, Balloon One has a strong corporate social responsibility and is determined to contribute to building happier and healthier communities.

The project is a cloud based transport management system allowing for route optimisation and vehicle tracking, alongside proof of delivery (POD) capture on multiple Android devices. Currently, we’re developing web and mobile versions, planning to implement AI technologies.

Team: 2 React developers, 1 React Native developer, 1 QA, CTO.

Project tech stack: React / Redux, React Native, Monorepo (workspace), Node, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) / Firebase.

What you will do:

• Development task creation,
• Development task co-ordination and prioritization,
• Tracking against roadmap and releases,
• Creation of technical assets such as user documentation.
• Delivering to release and roadmap plans in consultation with stakeholders (such as resource planning).

Must-have skills:

• 2+ years of experience
• Excellent English communication — spoken and written,
• IT product/project management experience,
• Technical documentation authoring,
• Collaboration with product marketing

Desirable skills:

• User interface (UI) design,
• Experience in logistics or transport domains,
• Cloud service product marketing,
• Understanding of software development and cloud deployment,
• Knowledge of JIRA Confluence.

Working model:

GT builds remote engineering teams for outstanding product companies. Our future mate will work directly with Balloon One.
We, at GT, call this ‘Extended Team model’, and it means that each team member is integrated as deeply as possible into the client’s team. You will work with the same tools and technologies as they do and communicate directly with a client without any intermediary in between.
Our clients usually (before the pandemic) come for a week each month and spend a lot of time with the team in Kyiv. We also encourage trips to a client and joint teambuilding and after-work activities.
