Java Engineer (SaaS UK-based start-up) (вакансія неактивна)

We will hire two Java engineers. The opening is for engineers from strong junior to senior level of experience.

— 3+ years of solid experience of Java
— Experience of developing asynchronous code within Java or other JVM languages.
— AWS
— Experience of developing and managing distributed systems
— Docker with Swarm / Kubernetes
— Familiar with Git and Continuous Integration deployment techniques
— Strong oral / written English language skills
— Experience of working with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

— Web crawling scraping experience a big advantage
— Experience using Vertx
— Unix based operating systems
— Python
— Elasticsearch
— Writing Services / APIs
— NLP tools (e.g. spaCy) and techniques

As a Java Engineer, you will be working within the Intorqa Content Hub, reporting to Java Lead in Kyiv and closely working with the CTO in London. The Hub comprises a team of engineers focussed on capturing online content and data from a broad range of sources, ranging from the open web to “.onion” TOR sites, chat groups, and social media channels.

— Write and integrate content capture solutions for open and password protected sources, developing reusable software components that sit within our wider architecture
— Look to constantly improve our content capture capabilities by implementing content capture best practice and technology components.
