About the client:

We are inventing, designing, developing and building the next generation, rich, dynamic, interactive services that power today’s OTT media products of our clients. The team supports a wide range of clients including iOS, Android, web applications as well as Smart TV, server backends and components. As a member of the team, you are a key contributor to the services underlying the most important aspects of the OTT ecosystem. API’s are the face of the system and given ecosystem.

Requirements:

• Proven experience designing, building and deploying distributed backend systems;
• Proven experience in working with Cloud based solutions: Iaas-, PaaS-, SaaS-, Serverless-distributions of backend systems on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud;
• Excellent communication skills — you’ll be working across different teams, as well as with the external vendors;
• Versed in one or more object-oriented, functional languages and scripting languages. Mainly experience with PHP and JavaScript;
• Knowledge of building web services and reusable software components: how they’re used, how they scale, how to integrate them together with external services, and how to make the solution cost effective;
• Knowledge of common web service standards (HTTP, JSON, OpenApi, XML, REST);
• Significant experience diagnosing and debugging complex systems;
• A focus on quality, with experience writing unit tests, developing test plans and working with evaluation teams;
• Some experience with Frontend development, specifically css, sass, HTML 5, React;
• Familiarity with the concept of Serverless solutions like AWS Lambda’s;
• Some knowledge of modern JavaScript concepts such as classes and promises and/or modern JavaScript flavors such as TypeScript;
• Experience with or a desire to learn at least one modern JavaScript framework such as React, Angular or Vue;
• The desire to mentor and utilize your past experiences to contribute to our strong team dynamic.
