receive high-risk payments quickly, safely and securely around the world. Their focus is on C2B and B2C. They started as a self-serve service which has evolved into a full SAS platform with multi-tenancy support. This means that they pay particular attention to the security of their customers’ accounts and assets, accounting transparency, and system stability and reliability.
The platform includes features such as transaction monitoring, counterparty management and control, API connections to external banks and payment providers, multi-channel payments (SWIFT, SEPA, UK Faster Payments, etc.), crypto trading and swapping, API provisioning for corporate clients, and more.

Client is looking for a LEAD Developer with Team Lead Capabilities and Proven Software
Architecture Experience
Requirements
1. Technical Leadership:
a. Lead and mentor a team of PHP developers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative team environment.
b. Define and implement architectural standards, best practices and development methodologies across the team.
c. Ensure the alignment of technical efforts with business objectives.
2. Systems Design & Architecture:
a. Design, develop and implement comprehensive solutions for high-risk payment systems that are scalable, secure and efficient.
b. Evaluate existing systems and make recommendations for improvements or shifts in architecture to enhance performance, security, and maintainability.
c. Incorporate scalability and future-proofing considerations into architectural decisions.
3. Planning and Resource Management:
a. Collaborate with VPRND, product owners and other stakeholders to define project scope, timelines and resource requirements.
b. Ensure timely delivery of projects within the established budget, while effectively communicating progress and challenges.
c. Proactively identify potential roadblocks and develop mitigation strategies to keep
projects on track.
4. Security & Compliance:
a. Oversee the implementation of security protocols surrounding payment processing, crypto transactions, customer accounts etc, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
b. Conduct thorough system assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and fortification strategies.
c. Establish a proactive approach to risk management by monitoring industry trends and adapting security measures accordingly.
5. Quality Assurance & Delivery:
a. Implement and enforce coding standards and best practices to maintain high quality code across the team.
b. Conduct code reviews and manage deployment strategies to ensure smooth integration and minimal downtime.
6. Continuous improvement:
a. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in PHP, software development trends, and high-risk payment industry standards.
b. Lead initiatives to optimise processes, tools, and overall performance of the payment systems.
c. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team, encouraging team members to stay abreast of the latest industry developments
Important requirements:
1. Master’s degree or BA degree, Mathematics and Computer Science or something similar.
2. Very good verbal English!
3. Very good experience with Symfony and CodeIgniter. Symfony is more important.
4. Commercial experience coding 8 years minimum.
5. Experience in a fintech / finance / crypto project is a big plus.
6. Proven experience working as a team lead.
7. Proven experience creating top — notch software architecture and an emphasis on fintech, security and performance.
