Giftcards Group is looking for a senior Linux System Administrator/DevOps.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and applications on Linux systems.
• Monitor system performance and respond to incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing solutions.
• Collaborate with other development to ensure seamless integration of Linux systems with network, storage, and security infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems from unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and malware.
• Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and end-users for Linux-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in Linux administration.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role (at least 3 years of experience)
• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat) and their various distributions.
• Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux software, packages, and applications.
• Experience with virtualization technologies
• Familiarity with networking protocols and services, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash) for task automation.
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures on Linux systems.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Linux+, RHCSA, RHCE) are a plus.
• English B2 level

Where are you going to work?
Giftcards Group is working to become the biggest gift card provider in the Netherlands. The daily operations are based in the Netherlands, but the inhouse development team is located in Ukraine. Slowly but steady we’re also busy expanding our specialism over to the United Kingdom, Belgium and many more European countries.

Working hours
You will be working from Monday till Friday but are free to make your own hours.
