The ideal candidate has a good level of SQL knowledge and Python knowledge. You enjoy thinking “outside the box” and are an analytical and creative thinker. You are an advanced Windows or Mac user, and it would be beneficial if you also had experience systems used in professional software development such as JIRA is an asset.

You are able to, and enjoy, working across multiple teams across locations, and have good communication skills.

Your skills & qualifications:

— Good level of SQL knowledge
— Python knowledge
— Ability to work productivity with minimal direction
— Advanced Win or Mac user
— Education or training in relevant field such as programming or engineering
— Strong attention to detail
— Upper-intermediate English level (reading, verbal, and written)

As a Risk Researcher with GeoGuard, you will research and review information on detecting location spoofing. This position will work closely with the reporting team by providing them with their findings. You will continually look for opportunities to improve processes and maintaining open communication with all of your team members.

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

— Creating Python and SQL scripts, and supporting old scripts
— Testing new and old anti-fraud features on both client and server sides
— Testing and supporting Kibana visualizations and dashboards
— Conducting research on location spoofing to help the teams remain up to date on current practices
— Performing geo-blocking bypass methods research to reproduce location spoofing and find similar attempts in the production data
— Reviewing reports, both internal and client reports, and appropriate SQL scripts
— Analyzing data including transaction history
— Organizing data in an easily understandable format using graphs and pivot tables to clearly communicate information
— Collaborating with Reporting & Risk Database Team in Vietnam
