Technical Writer (вакансія неактивна)

We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our team in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

As a Technical Writer at GeoGuard, you will create, illustrate and adapt documentation for all of GeoGuard products. The Technical Writer will be responsible for the technical writing of new releases and user guides, putting together corporate-wide training material and other documentation for the development team and end-users. The ideal candidate has at least 2+ years’ experience in a similar role and industry.

Your skills & qualifications:

— 2+ years’ relevant experience in a similar role
— Advanced level of English
— Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
— Strong communication skills and enjoy working in a fast pace environment
— Basic understanding of software documentation and requirements management
— Result oriented and able to consistently meet deadlines
— Able to work independently and at the same time enjoy working in a team environment
— Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical topics
— Experience working in an agile work environment
— Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with strong ability to prioritize
— Self-motivated and the ability to motivate others
— Firm understanding of the systems development life cycle

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities include (but not limited to):

— Create and develop technical documentation
— Create flowcharts and activity diagrams
— Update documentation on a regular basis in accordance with new releases
— Create user manuals
— Work closely with development teams
— Follow best practices and processes established by the team
— Translating technical content into user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience
— Research, outline, write and edit new and existing content while working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
— Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple and polished content
— Work with the development team and project managers to identify all current documentation and revise and edit as required
