The Power BI Specialist’s primary responsibility is to contribute to GeoComply’s success by designing, building and deploying business intelligence reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI tool.

You’ll work closely with both the finance, product and performance management, and development teams. You will provide the tools to ensure all stakeholders have robust visibility into both business and industry performance. What You Will Be Doing

  • Responsible for the planning, design, development, deployment and management of data, business intelligence, and analytics solutions, particularly through Power BI;
  • Develop visually appealing and data-rich dashboards to support multiple business functions;
  • Create/modify SQL stored procedures/queries to extract or analyze data;
  • Create and maintain data integrations between various systems, including SQL databases, static data from DropBox or Drive, and financial ERP systems;
  • Work with the business providing support for questions, investigations, adding and maintaining data;
  • Assist the product team in user feedback sessions to improve and create new visualizations;
  • Evaluate and determine solution design and make recommendations to the product team;
  • Perform data validation to ensure data accuracy and cleanliness;
  • Use best practices for coding, data management, reporting, and visualization;
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and estimate project and task timelines.

About You

  • Experienced. You have extensive experience with PowerBI and SQL development experience and are comfortable owning a project from start to finish;
  • Analytical. You have strong investigative skills for looking into data problems/issues and resolving them;
  • Detail-oriented. You have a keen eye for the little things, with an ability to synthesize and understand large datasets, conceptualizing the best output and visualization formats;
  • Solid communicator. Whether it is written or verbal, people know what you mean, what you are asking for, and what is expected;
  • Team-player. While you are comfortable handling your own work, you’re keen to be part of a team and contribute to the success of the overall business;
  • Eager. You’re self-motivated and willing to own tasks and deliverables, and always open to taking on new challenges;
  • Organized. You can handle multiple deliverables and multiple deadlines, clearly understanding what is required of you and managing expectations.

Bonus Points if You

  • Have good knowledge of Jira, Zendesk, and Atlassian;
  • You have an education or training in a relevant field;
  • No less than 2-3 years of background in data analysis.
