Today Jiji is the online classifieds monopolist across 7 markets: Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia and, since 2026, Bangladesh — our first step beyond Africa. A household brand for hundreds of millions of people.

90M+ users a year. $70B+ in GMV. $55M raised from top-tier funds. We grow through aggressive market consolidation: OLX Africa, Cars45, Tonaton, Bikroy — four deals, four times we took the entire market. The goal: a $1B+ valuation and a top-5 classifieds platform in the world by user count.

The team is spread across Lagos, Nairobi, Accra, Dhaka, Kyiv and Warsaw. This role sits at the core of HQ and reports directly to the Group COO.

Project Manager, Cars45

Cars45 is Jiji’s auto vertical on Africa’s largest car market, with 65,000+ paying sellers. It is having the best moment in its history: cars have started selling on credit through partner banks, and we are doubling this business within 12 months. You take the whole area over — today it is run personally by the COO.

Mission: run consumer financing and the Cars45 P&L so the business grows without hands-on management from above.

What you will own:

• Bank partnerships end-to-end: negotiations, onboarding, process integration
• The financing funnel: applications → bank approvals → disbursements; find where volume is lost and fix it
• The vertical’s P&L: plan vs actuals, unit economics, deviation drivers, decisions backed by numbers
• Pricing and processes: prepare decisions and drive them to implementation with the team in Nigeria (product, marketing, finance)

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience; proven project management — one well-executed end-to-end project is enough
• Big4, a product company, FMCG, e-commerce, or Genesis School
• Strong unit economics and financial modelling, advanced Excel/Google Sheets
• Confident communication for external partner negotiations, English upper-intermediate+
• Active use of AI tools in daily work
• Bias for action: execution matters more than the size of your past teams
