Who are we searching for?
We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer with the product mindset to join our core team at Fuelfinance, working on our mission to transform financial management for startups. You’ll collaborate closely with a tight-knit team of 3 senior developers, a Head of R&D, and an AI researcher, with plenty of room to bring your own ideas to life and shape new features. If you’re proactive, experienced, and excited to make a real difference in finance tech, we’d love to meet you!

What will you be working on?
You’ll work on an advanced financial system tailored for early-stage businesses, empowering owners and executives with streamlined access to their financial data, reports that align with accounting standards, and timely analyses to support informed decisions. Built using Google Sheets and an SQL database, with integrations from multiple third-party data sources, this system enables our finance team to provide expert guidance and recommendations. You’ll play a crucial role in developing, optimizing, and enhancing this platform to drive our clients’ success.

What are your responsibilities?

• Developing and maintaining the frontend and backend of our financial systems
• Creating and supporting automatic aggregation of the data from different data sources into one system (e.g., Stripe, Gusto, Salesforce, Hubspot, Quickbooks)
• Developing a cabinet for users, adding more features, and supporting existing functionality
• Developing custom integrations with customers’ systems
• Designing test strategies and creating appropriate test harnesses
• Collaborating closely with the R&D team to architect and develop the best technical design and approach
• Selecting and evaluating technologies for use in specific projects in terms of financial and time costs
• Estimating the duration and complexity of projects
• Planning and constructing development processes
• Ensuring the pace and quality of development at the highest level possible
• Providing expert proposals for architecture or specific technical solutions
• Managing technical risks on projects

What are the preferred requirements for the role?

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Proficiency in both frontend and backend development
• Tech stack: TypeScript, Node.js (Nest.js), React/Angular, SQL, MongoDB, AWS
• Experience developing products from 0 to scale
• Experience with AI technologies
• Experience in integration development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• English at B2/C1 level
• Experience in enhancing system and infrastructure security
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proactivity in preparing ideas for product development

Will be a plus:

• Knowledge of one of the following languages: C#, Java, Go, Python
• Experience in the finance sector
• Experience in development integrations with accounting platforms, CRMs, HRIS, payment systems
• Experience in working with ML models
• Early-stage startup experience
• Experience with infrastructure setup

Reporting structure: report to the Head of the R&D team.

• Technical interview with the Head of R&D and Senior Full-Stack Developer (60 minutes)
