About the role:
Our company is looking for an experienced Release Manager to drive the scheduling and managing of release of our project — Shatterline. You will be working with first party partners (Valve, Microsoft, Sony, etc) to deliver content to first party platforms (Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, etc). This includes full game releases (betas), updates and additional content offers on all available stores.
As a Release Manager you will be part of the Production team. In this team you will be responsible for ensuring that new releases to production are successful, executed on time, properly communicated in advance and are smooth both to the gamers and our internal teams.
What you’ll do:
Working closely with publishing and development team members to understand technical challenges and status of the product as well as certification requirements of Sony and Microsoft.
Manage releases for continuous product increments in
Keeping the team informed of implementation status and outcomes, and notifying them where additional assistance is required in order to make progress
At least one year of experience of project/release management in the game industry
Experience of shipping any game title to console (Sony, Microsoft)
Experience working with software development life-cycle tools such as JIRA, Confluence
B2/C1 in English both written and spoken
Very good communication and organizational skills
Strong sense of structure and coordination
Solving problems on the fly skills
Nice to have skills:
Experience with developing and owning release management procedures on GaaS platforms
Experience with creating detailed task level plans and in managing dependencies between different teams
