We are looking for an experienced Laravel Full Stack Developer to join our growing Engineering team and build out the next generation of our platform. The ideal candidate is a hands-on platform builder with significant experience in developing services and APIs in the Laravel framework as well as implementing front end solutions using Vue3.
They must be at ease working in an agile environment with little supervision. This person should embody a passion for well written and maintainable code.

Responsibilities
Design and develop a processing platform using various configuration management technologies.
● Improving system quality by identifying issues and common patterns, and developing standard operating procedures.
● Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.
● Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, business users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions.
● Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.

Essential Skills:
● Extensive experience with the Laravel framework
● Experience with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc. ● Experience with MySQL
● Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
● Experience with Front End Languages like TypeScript, Vue.js (version 3), Saas, Webpack
● Experience with architectural & cloud technologies such as Docker, AWS, Linux, NGINX.
● Git version control
● Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision. As an experienced developer, you must be competent in managing your time and current workload.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, we are a fully remote team, so it’s essential we communicate well. You will often find yourself explaining technical issues to a non-technical audience.
● A passion for solving problems and providing workable solutions
Desirable Skills:
● Experience with automated testing frameworks.
● Experience with Laravel Nova

A typical day
● Daily stand-up meeting with the entire development team and 2 directors ● Designing and coding the API endpoints that power our learning platform front end
● Continuous monitoring of bug channels to ensure existing functionality works as intended
● Refactoring existing functionality to fix issues, drive up code quality and unlock future functionality
● Working with our QA to facilitate testing and ensure quality results. ● 3 Amigos meetings with Product Owner and QA Tester to plan future work, discuss and refine requirements and debating the best technical approach. ● Supporting other developers when they are stuck or reviewing their code.
