DESCRIPTION

As a part of Faria Education Group, Atlas is the leading curriculum planning platform trusted by over 6,000 schools around the world that provides seamless collaboration for teachers, administrators, and curriculum writers along their curriculum development journey. Initiate, revamp, and continuously refine the curriculum development process in one unified system.

We are looking for an initial Manual QA Engineer with a background in testing, who will start providing quality test efforts for our product. The right candidate will work with members from the USA and Ukraine product teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze QA processes and propose improvements.
• Create and execute test cases based on requirements using Zephyr Scale.
• Release regression testing, feature testing, writing e2e test cases
• Perform UI functional, non-functional, and cross-browser testing.
• Perform responsive layout testing on mobile and tablet views.
• Communicate effectively with the team to ensure the correct requirements are met.
• Document useful information related to the product.

Requirements

The position assumes 2+ years of Quality Assurance engineer expertise

Technical skills

• Experience in Web UI testing
• Experience in Responsive design testing
• Experience in writing test cases and checklists
• Upper-intermediate English (written and spoken) and can communicate effectively
• Working with browser dev tools to analyze the bug’s root cause
• Desire to learn e2e automation and preferably javaScript
• Be able to work with test case management systems like Zephyr Scale
• Knowledge of different functional and non-functional testing types
• Understanding of client-server architecture
• Experience using testing methods and design techniques
• An ability to create and support test documentation, executing test runs
• Understanding the necessity of automated testing and how to benefit from it
• Good understanding of QA processes in SDLC

Nice to have

• Experience working with GitHub
• Experience in test automation and knowledge of test automation frameworks. As there is an opportunity to grow as AQA
• Experience with at least one programming language (preferably JavaScript)

Soft skills

• An eager-to-learn, flexible mindset, gain own experience, and willing to make an impact on the application
• Great communication skills and being a team player
• English — Upper-intermediate (both: writing and oral)
• Proper remote presence & etiquette (acknowledging requests in a timely fashion over Slack, not leaving requests unacknowledged at all)
• Effective adherence to operating procedures (organizing day-to-day work and large-scale tasks calmly with priority-driven sequencing)
• Readiness to coordinate work during business hours with the US West Coast team
