Database Administration
• Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information.
• Should have strong Knowledge about the architecture and troubleshooting of Database Concepts / Features.
• Should have good knowledge and experience in troubleshooting Performance Issues and Preparing RCA’s.
• Should have strong Experience in installation of Databases for Telecom BSS systems in Standalone and In Cluster Servers, Patching, Upgrading them.
• Troubleshooting the Databases Setup Failure Issues. Should be good in troubleshooting Cluster Failover Issues and analyzing the log Files.
• Should have knowledge about new features in Databases and implementing them.
• Should have very good understanding about the database Server Architecture.
• Should have worked in migration of database Servers and should be aware of the pre and post steps.
• Experience in ensuring backups of the backup farms
• Should be good in maintaining databases by performing regular maintenance of the databases.
System Administration
• Experience in Operating Systems: RHEL, and other Multi UNIX flavors.
• Experience in providing solutions to Web and Application Servers: Apache / Nginx / Http running on LINUX OS
• Virtualization: VMware ESXi/KVM/Xen.
• Experience providing Tier 3 level support
• Scripting language experience is preferred.
• Experience with Ruby, Python and SCM frameworks like Chef/Puppet/Fabric is desirable.
• Experience with: administering a pool of Linux servers, Virtualization, SAN/NAS, SQL, Load balancing, application monitoring/backup technologies, web/database server administration is desirable.
• Experience in Bash/Ruby/Python/Perl
• Extensive knowledge of UNIX processes, ability to build a process from the scratch and implement across organization. Optimize security process with the help of new technology.
• Apply the architecture methodology for developing a UNIX IT solution. Ability to prepare the required documentations to support the solution (such as network placement diagram, user reference guide etc)
• Ensuring development of global solutions and optimizing the reuse of existing platforms/technology as well as already developed solutions and functions.
• Provide the optimum solution in Server, Storage, Networking and Middle ware services
• Good knowledge of OS Internals and understanding of the implementation life cycle.
• Good knowledge of UNIX tools such as TCP/IP netstat, iostat, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP and IT Incident & Event Management.
• Have adequate knowledge on performing IT Assessment of the IT infrastructure also having ability to guide the teams.
• Perform periodic review of the UNIX IT policies and standards to ensure that the IT infrastructure is aligned to technology standards.
• Provide subject matter expertise in dealing with client issues and help the operation teams in early resolutions.
• Ability to manage and lead individuals assigned to a particular project.
• Candidate should demonstrate good communication and writing skills.

• Education — higher
• Experience on similar (IT admin, DBA) position from — 5 years, experience in operations/services environment

General description
Day to day monitoring of HW, OS and VM. Drive analysis and resolution of any fault. Coordinate with 3PP for the resolution of faults. Monitor backup status everyday, troubleshoot any failure, escalate and coordinate with vendor for resolution, period testing of restoration.
