About project

We are looking for an engineer to join a client project where a scalable cashless payroll platform is being developed, helping digitize salary payments in emerging markets. The product focuses on real-time transactions, seamless bank integrations, and financial accessibility for unbanked users.

You’ll work on a mature fintech product (5+ years) with active development, modern infrastructure, and real-world impact.

Required skills, experience, and knowledge

• Senior-level experience with Ruby on Rails
• Strong experience building and maintaining scalable backend systems
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL
• Experience with Sidekiq, RSpec (testing best practices)
• Experience working with REST APIs and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments
• Experience with AWS infrastructure
• Good understanding of OOP, SOLID, DRY, KISS principles
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Familiarity with Git (GitHub workflow)
• Upper-intermediate or higher English level

Nice to have:

• Experience with payment systems / fintech domain
• Experience integrating with React-based frontends

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Ruby on Rails
• Design and improve microservices architecture
• Integrate with third-party payment systems and external APIs
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices
• Collaborate closely with frontend and product teams
• Participate in system design, planning, and estimation
• Optimize database performance and system reliability

Cooperation format

We are looking for engineers who can quickly join for full-time collaboration on a 3-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension upon mutual agreement.
