About project
We are looking for an engineer to join a client project where a scalable cashless payroll platform is being developed, helping digitize salary payments in emerging markets. The product focuses on real-time transactions, seamless bank integrations, and financial accessibility for unbanked users.
You’ll work on a mature fintech product (5+ years) with active development, modern infrastructure, and real-world impact.
Required skills, experience, and knowledge
- Senior-level experience with Ruby on Rails
- Strong experience building and maintaining scalable backend systems
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL
- Experience with Sidekiq, RSpec (testing best practices)
- Experience working with REST APIs and microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments
- Experience with AWS infrastructure
- Good understanding of OOP, SOLID, DRY, KISS principles
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Familiarity with Git (GitHub workflow)
- Upper-intermediate or higher English level
Nice to have:
- Experience with payment systems / fintech domain
- Experience integrating with React-based frontends
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Ruby on Rails
- Design and improve microservices architecture
- Integrate with third-party payment systems and external APIs
- Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices
- Collaborate closely with frontend and product teams
- Participate in system design, planning, and estimation
- Optimize database performance and system reliability
Cooperation format
We are looking for engineers who can quickly join for full-time collaboration on a 3-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension upon mutual agreement.
