Ruby on Rails Developer + React

We are looking for a Middle+ Ruby on Rails Developer to join a client project, depending on your experience and strengths.

Projects may include a CRM system for law firms with a significant amount of legacy code (refactoring, improvements, регулярні релізи), or a modern product with API integrations, focused on feature development and continuous system improvement.

Project assignment depends on your background and team needs, with the possibility to contribute to different projects over time.

Required skills, experience, and knowledge

• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails
• Experience working with and maintaining legacy systems
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL
• Understanding of REST APIs
• Experience with RSpec (testing basics)
• Basic experience with frontend (jQuery / React or similar)
• Understanding of OOP, SOLID, DRY, KISS principles
• Experience working in a team environment
• Upper-intermediate or higher English level

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails
• Work with and gradually improve legacy codebase
• Implement new features and support existing functionality
• Write clean, maintainable code following team standards
• Participate in code reviews and testing (RSpec)
• Collaborate with the team and client on ongoing tasks and releases
• Contribute to planning and estimation within the team

Project workflows

• Daily standup with the tech team;
• Scrum workflow;
• Business hours — 10 am-7 pm Kyiv time.
