As a Senior Email Marketing Manager you will be responsible for newsletter performance across engagement, retention, monetization, deliverability, and overall subscriber experience. This role combines strategic thinking, hands-on execution, experimentation, and operational ownership. Initially, you will manage 7–10 newsletters with the opportunity to scale beyond that and eventually build a team around the operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own engagement and retention across multiple newsletters
• Optimize subject lines, CTAs, layouts, content structure, and send strategy
• Launch retention and re-engagement initiatives
• Monitor key engagement metrics and identify growth opportunities
• Own inbox placement, sender reputation, and domain health
• Manage SPF, DKIM, DMARC, warm-up, and list hygiene
• Investigate and resolve deliverability issues
• Support newsletter monetization and optimize sponsored content performance
• Track revenue per send and revenue per subscriber
• Manage publishing schedules and QA outgoing campaigns
• Build scalable workflows, SOPs, and quality standards
• Use AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, and content workflows

Requirements:

• Strong experience managing multiple newsletters, email programs, or subscriber-based products
• Proven success improving engagement, retention, and newsletter growth
• Hands-on deliverability expertise, including sender reputation, authentication, inbox placement, and ISP-level monitoring
• Experience working with large subscriber databases and high-volume email programs
• Strong analytical mindset and comfort working with performance metrics
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality
• Strong ownership mentality and proactive approach to problem-solving
• English communication skills (B2+)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Beehiiv, Substack, Ghost, or similar newsletter platforms
• Experience with affiliate marketing, sponsorships, or newsletter monetization
• Experience with cold email infrastructure
• Experience using AI tools in operational workflows
• Background in digital publishing, media, or content-led growth
