Senior Data Integration Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Integration Engineer to join our data squads and contribute to a strategic, multi-squad initiative focused on Data & Analytics. This initiative aims to upgrade the organizational backbone to a unified ERP, reengineer processes, and build on a unified data platform to enable advanced analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and models using a modern tech stack, while contributing BI development and data analysis expertise to support end-to-end data solutions in an agile, product-oriented environment.

Kindly note that this role supports remote work, but only from within Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory for orchestration
• Implement dbt Core for data transformation and modeling
• Create and maintain dimensional and relational data models for analytics and reporting
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across squads
• Work with Snowflake for data storage and computation, including performance tuning
• Use GitHub for version control, branching strategies, and CI/CD automation
• Participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
• Collaborate closely with product owners, data analysts, and BI developers
• Assist in creating semantic layers and supporting BI tools, mainly Power BI
• Perform exploratory data analysis and provide insights when needed
• Maintain clear documentation for pipelines, models, and processes
• Adhere to coding standards and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema)
• Hands-on expertise in Azure Data Factory, dbt Core, and Snowflake
• Familiarity with GitHub workflows and CI/CD pipelines
• Background in ETL/ELT design, data quality frameworks, and performance optimization
• Basic experience with Power BI and data visualization
• Capability to perform data analysis and interpret business requirements
• Flexibility to work in agile product mode across multiple squads, with exposure to agile methodologies and product-centric delivery
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

• Experience in data governance, metadata management, and data security
• Knowledge of cloud architecture and cost optimization
