SAP ABAP Developer

We are seeking an ABAP Developer with expertise in modern SAP technologies and frameworks to join our international Agile team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining SAP solutions with a focus on SAP S/4HANA, CRM and cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate combines strong classic and modern ABAP development skills with a deep understanding of enterprise business processes and SAP architecture.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, clarify and specify business and technical requirements
• Design, develop and maintain SAP solutions using modern and secure ABAP OO practices
• Perform modeling, implementation, testing and optimization based on SAP programming models and business processes
• Develop SAP S/4HANA solutions utilizing CDS Views, Fiori Elements/Smart Templates, SAP NetWeaver Gateway and OData services
• Work with ABAP frameworks including BOPF, BOL and related technologies
• Collaborate closely with development teams, architects, QA engineers and product management specialists
• Participate in Agile (Scrum) ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure high-quality delivery through unit testing, code reviews, design reviews and test case execution
• Perform ABAP performance tuning and utilize Runtime Analysis Tools and ABAP Test Cockpit
• Support and maintain delivery processes, issue resolution and system improvements
• Contribute to cloud and hybrid SAP landscape development initiatives
• Expand and apply knowledge in SAPUI5, JavaScript and cloud-based SAP development technologies

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in ABAP development within enterprise SAP environments
• Strong expertise in ABAP programming including ABAP OO and Design Patterns
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA development including CDS, Fiori Elements/Smart Templates, SAP NetWeaver Gateway and OData services
• Hands-on experience with BOPF, BOL and other ABAP frameworks
• Understanding of ABAP Test Cockpit, ABAP Performance Tuning and Runtime Analysis techniques
• Knowledge of SAP system architecture and SAP S/4HANA functional areas
• Experience working within Agile (Scrum) development teams
• Basic JavaScript skills with willingness to further develop frontend expertise
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in international project teams
• English level B2+ (Upper-Intermediate)

Nice to have

• Experience with SAPUI5, SAP HANA Platform and SAP Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of Side-by-Side Extensibility, SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, SAP Cloud SDK and RESTful ABAP
• Understanding of BASIS frameworks and entitlement management concepts
• Experience working with hybrid SAP landscapes and distributed virtual teams
