We are currently seeking a talented DBA to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems, ensuring their performance, security, and availability. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing database queries, designing efficient data models, and implementing backup and recovery strategies. About you:

• 5+ years of experience in database administration (DBA) with expertise in MySQL and MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automating database and DevOps tasks.
• Deep understanding of database security, replication, and clustering.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud-native solutions).
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with development and DevOps teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to database and infrastructure management.
• Experience with NoSQL databases beyond MongoDB.
• Knowledge of database sharding strategies for high-scale applications.

Responsibilities:

• Optimize SQL queries and database performance across MongoDB and MySQL.
• Perform database tuning and fine-tuning configurations for high availability and efficiency.
• Maintain and manage database migration tools to support seamless schema and data migrations.
• Set up and manage replica sets for MongoDB and clustering for MySQL to ensure redundancy and failover mechanisms.
• Implement access control and security policies for databases following an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach.
• Establish monitoring and alerting mechanisms, including:
• Internal tools for tracking database performance.
• Simplified dashboards for developers to track database health.
• Design and implement indexing strategies to enhance query performance for both MongoDB and MySQL.
• Manage database backups.
• Manage database infrastructure across all environments.

Will be a plus:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools (Terraform, Helm, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Strong DevOps experience, including working with Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Terraform.
• Familiarity with Node.js (not required but a plus for understanding application needs).
• Experience with log management and analysis tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Loki).
• Experience with BI tools.
• Familiarity with ClickHouse.
