Information about the position

We are looking for a new colleague to join us at VÚB, who will take care of our applications, primarily in the area of ​​data. We manage and automate processing in BMC Control-M. ETL processing runs in Informatica on Oracle DB.

Your main responsibilities in the team will be:

  • Application support of banking software.
  • Keeping technological and operational documentation up to date.
  • Solving operational incidents and problems in the operation of the bank’s information systems in 7×24 mode.
  • Deploying changes (upgrades, configuration changes and fixes) in managed applications based on requirements.
  • Identification, analysis, solution and removal of incidents and problems.
  • Active communication with other departments (testers, analysts, programmers).
  • The advantage is automation and LINUX bash/shell scripting.

Requirements for the employee

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • 2+ years of experience in the field of IT.
  • Knowledge of Oracle DB, Linux OS, Windows OS.
  • Experience with a control and scheduling tool.
  • B2 level English.

Preferred personal skills:

  • Logical and analytical thinking.
  • Communication skills and good written expression.
  • Ability to work on tasks as a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to solve problems independently.
  • Ability to absorb technical documentation.
  • Willingness to learn and deepen the professional knowledge.
  • Willingness to work on call.

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree

Who can participate in the programme?

  • Female applicants currently residing in Ukraine; male applicants currently residing in Ukraine with an exit permit issued by the Ukrainian authorities. Relocation to Slovakia must start from Ukraine.
  • Female and male applicants currently residing outside of Ukraine in any non-EU country.

In addition to the conditions and benefits from the company described above, the programme Digi Talents will provide you with additional benefits:

  • Cover your travel costs from Ukraine to Slovakia and back in total value up to 200 EUR
  • Financial and/or in-kind support to cover your living costs (e.g. accommodation, insurance, pocket money and local transport fees) during the first two months of your stay in the total amount of up to 1800 EUR. Final amount of support provided may vary depending on scope of the services paid by programme and individual circumstances.
