We are looking for an experienced QA Lead (with some prior test-automation experience), who is able to manage a team of 2-5 engineers, take ownership of the release process and some specific parts of our ecosystem, develop, maintain and improve all processes.
This is a full-time, dedicated, remote position.
Working hours are 40/week, GTM+3 (plus-minus 1 or 2 hours max).
Fluent English and good communication skills are required.
Responsibilities:
- Set up work in the QA team.
- Be responsible for the release process and product quality overall.
- Create plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test reports.
- Active participation in the software development process, cooperation with programmers, product managers as a part of the R&D Team. Work both on the front end (high-traffic e-commerce site, B2C) AND the back-office tools that we develop in-house.
- Be the first line of support to help other teams (Support, Art, Marketing, etc.) who use the back-office tools, troubleshoot, guide, and resolve simple operational issues to ensure a smooth workflow for all teams.
- Develop and improve a set of methodologies, procedures, and tools used in the field of testing.
- Create technical and utility documentation.
- Tracking tickets progress in tools like Jira (issues creation/verification/etc.).
- Setup test automation for the project and work with the QA team to automate main flows.
- Execute and monitor results of automated suites within CI infrastructure.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a QA engineer.
- 2+ years of experience as a QA lead.
- 1+ years of experience in building and maintenance automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with REST API testing and databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
- Significant knowledge of test case design techniques.
- Curiosity on how tools you use work under the hood.
- Passion for testing and aspiration to deliver high-quality products.
