About the Role
We are looking for a Sales & Support Specialist to join a growing team. You will be responsible for bringing new Shopify merchants on board as clients and supporting them once they are in. This will be our first hire in this role, so there are great opportunities for growth professionally.
Later this position might change to a more specialized sales and/or marketing manager role.
At startup there will be a long training period performed by the founder&team. Some of it will also be their own research. So, a long-term commitment as an employee is required. The team is currently quite small, so the person must be willing to be hands-on, and self-running.
Responsibilities:
Sales — New Client Acquisition
- Identify and reach out to prospective Shopify merchants who would benefit from our product.
- Conduct discovery calls and product demonstrations — understand the merchant’s needs and position our solution accordingly.
- Manage the full sales cycle from first contact to signed contract: follow-ups, objection handling, and closing.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline; track activity and progress in the CRM.
- Contribute to outbound strategy — channels, messaging, and targeting — based on what works in practice.
Support — Client Retention & Success
- Onboard new clients and ensure they are set up correctly from day one.
- Handle inbound support requests — technical questions, usage issues, and general guidance — via email and chat.
- Proactively check in with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and identify expansion or upsell opportunities.
- Escalate product bugs or complex technical issues with a clear, well-documented brief.
- Gather client feedback and relay it to the product team to inform roadmap decisions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a B2B sales role — you know how to prospect, pitch, and close.
- Solid understanding of Shopify — mandatory. You must be able to speak credibly with store owners about their setup and challenges.
- Strong grasp of eCommerce: how merchants think, what problems they face, and what drives their decisions.
- Excellent written and spoken English (В2+).
- French, German, or Spanish — a significant advantage (but not required), as we serve merchants across multiple markets.
- Organized, self-motivated, and consistent, you manage your pipeline without being chased.
Nice to Have:
- Experience selling a SaaS product or tool within the Shopify ecosystem.
- Familiarity with Shopify apps, integrations, and the broader merchant tech stack.
- Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar.
- Marketing experience.
- IT technical experience
- Software development experience
We offer:
- 15 working days of paid annual vacation
- 6 days of paid sick leave annually
- Paid days off on public (state) holidays
- Career development opportunities
