What you’ll do

Specify and design product direction and solutions which satisfy product vision and company strategy in mid- and long-term perspective;
Evaluate and undertake impact analysis on major design options and evaluate associated risks;
Ensure that the system design balances functional, quality, security, and systems management requirement;
Define, maintain, and manage architecture models, frameworks, and artifacts (e.g. current and future application architecture diagrams, data models, architecture/technical debt backlog etc);
Work closely with team leaders to determine optimal solutions to product goals, and align architecture roadmaps with product plans;
Support platform development and ongoing features according to roadmap; identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches via technology enablement;
Actively engage with engineering teams in the development and implementation of designed solutions, providing guidance on solution approach and best technical practices;
Contribute to solution scoping and effort distribution with cross-functional teams;
Lead new technologies selection, POC development including coding experience when reasonable; development of evaluation matrix through final recommendation, including hands-on execution where needed;
Staying in touch with technology trends and product roadmaps to make strategic solution architecture recommendations;
Support and nurture product company values, engaging and leading engineers, educating and mentoring both engineering and business teams.

Skills to excel

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or engineering is preferred;
Experience building highly scalable, high traffic platforms;
Experience building complex platforms based on microservices approach (ideally from scratch);
Direct experience with product development, leveraging modern technology stacks and cloud-based systems like AWS and similar solutions;
Strong knowledge of various integration approaches such as microservices, messaging, queuing, API patterns, etc;
Strong understanding of Lean, Agile principles and methodologies. Extensive experience leading development process in large, highly efficient agile teams (50+ people);
Strong understanding of DevOps culture and modern approaches/tools;
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills combined with a business-mature approach;
Deep knowledge and experience in at least two complex business domains (like Fintech, Banking, Telecom, etc);
Abilities to work in a dynamic, oft-changing environment.

Will be a plus

Experience in building Artificial intelligence, Machine Learning solutions, knowledge and hands-on experience with a big data stack;
Understanding of blockchain technologies — implementation of a custom or integration to an existing blockchain;
Experience in building data warehouses, company-wide BI solutions;
Gaming domain knowledge.
