Overview

The role of the Project Management professional is to manage daily team operations, look for opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements, and keep the rest of the Company informed of changes that affect customers and other employees. This position is equal parts communicating changes out of the team, as it is about managing the team and keeping projects running smoothly.

Note Regarding Location: This is a remote position within Ukraine only. This position is only open to people living in Ukraine.

Job Responsibilities

Manage Project Planning & Execution

  • Define project scope, long-term and short-term goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Define project success criteria and track timing of milestones
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, working with managers to secure those resources
  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
  • Manage proactively changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents

Manage Project Team Efficiency

  • Work with the project teams to coordinate and manage day-to-day on projects and keeping the project going by removing blockers
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Monitor, cultivate, and promote project team health while practicing Servant Leadership
  • Identify opportunities to improve team dynamic, process, and environment for optimal productivity

Process Improvements

  • Run project or event Post-Mortems and come away with learnings and process changes for overall Company improvements
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management with rest of Project Management team
  • Develop best practices for process optimization and business intelligence/analysis

Communication

  • Work with stakeholders to determine project needs and communicate project timing and status updates to the rest of the Company where necessary
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
  • Develop and manage project associated communications documents and channels
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
  • Lead effective meetings with necessary stakeholders, subject matter expects, and team members

Job requirements

  • University degree or college diploma in the field of Business Administration preferred
  • Certifications in project management a plus
  • Familiarity with various project management methodologies (both Agile and non-Agile) and how they can be adapted to hybrid applications
  • 3+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Jira and Confluence
  • Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies
  • Demonstrated experience in people management
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
  • Ability to read communication and learning styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, vendors, and other departments
  • Ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise
  • Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
  • Customer service skills an asset
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
  • Being able to read and speak English fluently is required, additional languages is a plus
