Position Overview:
We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our engineering and R&D efforts. As CTO, you will shape our technical strategy, drive innovation, and scale our software and AI capabilities for defence-grade systems. The ideal candidate has deep experience in MilTech, particularly in autonomous systems, UAVs, AI, and scalable software architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the company’s technology roadmap in alignment with strategic goals.
• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers (AI, embedded systems, CV, software).
• Oversee development of autonomous navigation, last-mile targeting, and vision-based guidance systems using technologies such as C++, Rust, and modern computer vision (CV) frameworks.
• Architect scalable and secure defence-grade software platforms and toolchains.
• Ensure compliance with military standards and cybersecurity protocols.
• Collaborate with partners, drone manufacturers, and government stakeholders globally.
• Evaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML/CV/Edge Computing, Rust, C++) for integration.
• Represent the company in technical negotiations, grants, and military R&D programs.

Requirements:

Must-Have:

• 7+ years in software engineering or technical leadership, ideally within MilTech, aerospace, or UAV sectors.
• Strong hands-on background in one or more: autonomy, AI/ML, computer vision (CV), real-time systems, or embedded programming (with proficiency in C++ or Rust a strong plus).
• Prior experience with drone systems (fixed-wing, quadcopters, or VTOL) or autonomous weapons platforms.
• Familiarity with military/defence standards (NATO STANAG, MIL-STD, etc.).
• Proven ability to build and scale high-performance engineering teams.
• Excellent English and Ukrainian communication skills.
• Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and decision-making abilities.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience working with or in government defence agencies.
• Background in sensor fusion, SLAM, or onboard AI inference.
• Familiarity with edge computing and battlefield communication protocols.
• Prior startup or scale-up experience in deep tech or dual-use technologies.
