Senior Back-end Engineer (AWS serverless)

Our back-end is growing faster than we can keep up — and we need someone who actually enjoys that kind of challenge. We’re looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer with serious AWS serverless chops to help us build something we’re proud of.

Who We’re Looking For
A smart, experienced, and confident engineer who cares about clean architecture, enjoys collaboration, and thrives in a high-impact environment.

Must-haves:

• 5+ years of professional/commercial development experience, including at least 3 years with Node.js and TypeScript on the back-end
• 3+ years working with AWS and serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, S3, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Cognito, CloudFront, Route53)
• Hands-on experience designing scalable systems for real-world business needs
• Solid understanding of event-driven architectures and distributed microservices
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs (HTTP, SDK, webhooks)
• Data modelling expertise for both SQL and NoSQL databases (indexes, transactions, eventual/strong consistency, CDC)
• Advanced PostgreSQL knowledge
• Previous experience in fintech or crypto

Nice to have:

• Experience with React (hooks, state management, modern patterns), AWS EC2, VPC, RDS, Step Functions
• GitHub Actions CI/CD knowledge
• Passion for performance, security, and automation
• React Native experience
• Experience working in distributed teams or building products from scratch

• Front-end: React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES6+), Styled Components / TailwindCSS
• Infrastructure as code: Terraform, Serverless Framework / AWS CDK / AWS SAM

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Building and scaling full-stack fintech products that handle thousands of transactions
• Designing and implementing architecture across both front-end and back-end
• Collaborating with product managers and founders to deliver fast yet safe releases
• Reviewing code and setting high standards for quality and security
• Developing integrations with banks, payment providers, and crypto platforms
• Contributing to the vision and future evolution of our platform
