We are looking for a solid QA in Odessa or Lviv to establish QA processes and lead a QA team. The job will include providing testing estimates, planning, scheduling, and controlling testing efforts on the project, gathering test metrics, test status reporting and managing the daily flow of tasks inside the testing team.

Project:

E-commerce platform for one of the largest building merchants. Our client is taking on the complete redevelopment of the existing legacy platform with the focus on UX and Responsive Web Design, and Microservice Platform. It is aiming to remove vendor locking and fully leverage on the latest Open Source technical stack delivering eCommerce platform of the future.

The focus is on user journey, offer personalisation, search, customer data mining, smart ads and headless CMS allowing Business to efficiently manage day to day trading activities, promotions and sales.

Our goal is to ensure automation level and to process QA documentation for Scrum-based team. Project is overall highly automated in BDD style (Cucumber, Java, JS, Selenium, Test Cafe, API\UI)

Responsibilities:

• Define QA strategy for a project with a few streams
• Deliver project quality along all period of development
• Leading demo to the customer, gathering feedback
• Leading test scenarios design
• Leading creation of acceptance criterias
• Building QA team (hiring / retention)

Must-have:

• 5+ years of experience in testing of web-based applications
• 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
• Understanding of the software development life cycle, practical experience in Agile methodology
• Strong knowledge of testing approaches, manual testing methods and processes
• Practical skills in setting up testing process on the project from scratch, developing and enhancing test strategy and Test Plan
• Practical skills in planning QA activities, conducting estimates, performing and controlling tasks distribution and execution
• Knowledge and practical experience in gathering testing metrics and reporting
• Strong skills in requirements analysis and test documentation preparation: test plans, checklists, test cases and bug reports, test results reports
• Experience in API testing
• Mentoring and coaching skills (adapting newcomers into the project activities, developing skills of testing team members)
• Experience in using Jira and any test management system
• Attentive to details with a logical and analytical approach to problem solving
• Communicative, customer-oriented and a team player
• Good spoken and written English

Will be a plus:

• CI/CD experience
• AQA experience
