We’re looking for a NodeJS Developer to join our team.

About client and Project:

The Real-Estate US-based Company: Established in 2017 by a team of experienced entrepreneurs is reshaping the second-hand housing market in the US.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to Stoa’s Fund & Sell platform;
• Create a great user experience for both customers and internal teams;
• Participate in the design and implementation of internal APIs;
• Interact with SQL databases and collaborate with the data team;
• Stay ahead of trends in the Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, etc ecosystem;
• Champion best practices;
• Cultivate empathy with users to help realize and deliver the optimal UX;
• Hold a “bias for shipping” and sense of urgency with delivering value to our customers.

Requirements:

• Experience with NodeJS, Express, Docker;
• Smart, independent, open-minded developer, outstanding technical and soft skills, being able to communicate and assist others;
• Actual commercial experience in creating web-apps of at least 3+ years;
• Strong sense of responsibility, ownership and mindset of “get things done”.
• Modern full-stack web abilities — end to end;
• Deep knowledge and experience with modern JS tooling (JavaScript, TypeScript, Babel, Webpack, ES6);
• Designed, built, and maintained production-scale web applications;
• Integrated web applications with internal and external APIs;
• A level of comfort working with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL);
• Collaborated with engineers through version control and peer reviews;
• Written technical documentation and can work effectively in a remote environment.

Would be a “plus”:

• Background in building a financial platform — an advantage;
• Strong background with building complex React applications;
• knowledge in ReactJS, CI pipelines (GitHub, CircleCI);
• Comfortable learning and working in any part of the stack, from building and styling React components to designing normalized database structures;
• Experience with GraphQL and ApolloClient;
• Experience with one of the big could providers, build, monitor, deploy cloud base application;
• Built software on a cloud computing platform like AWS;
• Have performed the role of technical lead on a past project.
